Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming calls related to FMLA claims and various leave requests.
  • Assess eligibility for FMLA and other leave types during initial contact.
  • Review new FMLA and Company Leave notifications promptly, adhering to established timelines.
  • Make eligibility determinations during the intake process.
  • Collect necessary information from employees or relevant systems as needed.
  • Evaluate leave specifics and make preliminary case decisions, including approvals or denials.
  • Conduct follow-ups regarding leave status with employees, employers, or healthcare providers, which may involve recertification or tracking intermittent claims.
  • Maintain standard communication through phone, email, and written correspondence throughout the leave duration.
  • Regularly update FMLA and leave applications to accurately reflect current status and ensure proper documentation.
  • Address inquiries from employees and employers regarding FMLA and Company leave status.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer service or phone support, or equivalent experience in customer-facing roles.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail is essential.
