Join Our Team as a Cloud Solutions Engineer II

This position offers a unique chance to leverage cutting-edge cloud technologies to assist U.S. Government agencies in implementing forward-thinking cloud solutions and addressing technical hurdles.

At Amazon, we have established a dedicated group of service teams focused on our collaboration with the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are developing some of the largest and most sophisticated distributed systems globally, and we seek adaptable individuals to help us design and maintain these systems.

Key Responsibilities

As a Cloud Solutions Engineer II, your daily tasks will include:

  • Overseeing and monitoring system health and performance.
  • Provisioning devices, aiding in data ingestion, and performing device maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to devices, networks, and configurations.
  • Documenting and communicating engineering and operational recommendations to team members.
  • Creating and sharing after-action reports that capture significant events, actions taken, and future improvement plans.
  • Providing on-call support as needed.
Basic Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or relevant certifications such as Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
  • Minimum of 3 years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows).
  • At least 2 years of experience with scripting languages.
  • Current, active U.S. Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies.
  • 1+ years of networking experience.
  • 1+ years of experience with support procedures in production computing environments.
  • Experience in automating routine tasks.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and performance/log analysis.
