BCforward is seeking a highly motivated Critical Environment Support Assistant to join our team in a critical role.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have experience in waste management and a commitment to sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of waste management in the data center by sorting waste streams and ensuring proper waste diversion measures are taken.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Waste Stream Management: Sort waste streams according to the categories of recyclables and landfill.
  • Waste Bin Maintenance: Ensure that waste bins are labeled, clean, and accessible.
  • Waste Monitoring: Monitor waste generation and diversion rates and report any issues or suggestions.
  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with CBRE/waste haulers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate pickup and delivery.
  • Waste Awareness: Proactively guide waste producers to the proper recycling locations.
  • Waste Inspection: Frequent dumpster/waste bin inspections to ensure proper sorting has taken place.
  • Logistics Support: Work with logistics team members to capture all sorting opportunities.
  • Recycling Support: Deliver recycling materials to a recycler if needed.
  • Operational Support: Support Critical Environment Operations Team with filter replacements and disposal.
  • Vendor Project Monitoring: Monitor vendor projects for proper waste disposal.
  • Team Support: Assist CE teams and Logistics teams with various other duties.

Qualifications:

  • Waste Management Experience: The ideal candidate will have experience in waste management and a commitment to sustainability.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
  • Availability: Resource(s) will be working Monday through Friday, core business hours between 7AM and 7PM.
