Job Summary:

American Traveler is seeking a skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) travel nurse to join our team. As a travel nurse with American Traveler, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of ICU settings across the country, providing high-quality patient care and advancing your nursing career.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care in the ICU setting, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
  • Perform various medical procedures, including inserting IV lines, administering medications, and performing ECGs
  • Document patient care and progress in the medical record

Requirements:

  • Current professional license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state where the assignment is located
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Valid BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Specialty-related certifications are preferred and may be required for specific travel positions
  • At least one year of recent experience in ICU nursing and a like setting
