Position Summary:

CMI is in search of an Environmental Consultant to become a vital part of our energetic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and assist with Phase I/II environmental site evaluations
  • Perform routine fieldwork, including groundwater, soil, and vapor sampling
  • Manage stormwater sampling (NPDES) and EDMR documentation
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of remediation systems
  • Create maps, figures, and data tables
  • Analyze and interpret analytical data
  • Support the preparation of various technical reports
  • Engage with clients and subcontractors during site assessments

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant and progressive work experience in the field
  • Proficient in conducting technical research and fieldwork
  • Experience with field sampling and monitoring tools (e.g., PID/FID, submersible pumps)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and deliver effective training sessions
  • Capability to mentor team members and present findings in group settings
  • Moderate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Flexible hybrid work schedule

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences or Geology
  • HazWoper 40 certification preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Extended periods of standing and walking
  • Ability to stoop, crawl, and bend
  • Capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs

Additional Requirements:

  • Background checks and potential drug screenings are mandatory for this role
  • Overtime and flexible hours may be required based on project needs
  • Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance
