LPN Position Overview

This LPN role is a staff position that involves direct care responsibilities as well as supervisory duties for caregivers. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for overseeing nursing personnel to deliver care and coordinating care delivery to ensure residents' needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, facility policies, and federal, state, and local guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise nursing personnel to deliver care
  • Coordinate care delivery to ensure residents' needs are met
  • Read thermometers, charts, and testing equipment
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English in an understandable manner
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of clinical experience
  • Gerontological nursing experience, including dementia population, preferred
  • Valid and current LPN/LVN state license
Physical Demands
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat for prolonged periods
  • Ability to push and pull objects and lift and carry up to 20 pounds, unassisted
