About the Role

Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our Bridgton Hospital Diagnostic Ultrasound team on a per diem, flexible as needed, basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessments and acquire and analyze data obtained using ultrasound
  • Use independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods to produce high-quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care
  • Provide a summary of findings to the physician or healthcare provider to aid in patient diagnosis and management
  • Participate in CQI activities
Requirements
  • ARDMS Registered or ARDMS candidate
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-approved school of Ultrasonography or has received education and clinical experience and demonstrated competence to obtain appropriate ARDMS certification within a year of hire
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
  • Specific experience and training in Ultrasound and proficient knowledge of Ultrasound Equipment
