Custodian Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform basic cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and dusting.
• Set up and take down equipment as needed.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent standing, walking, and moving throughout the work site.
• Exert forces up to 70 pounds while pushing and pulling equipment.
• Occasionally sit, drive a pick-up, squat, climb, crawl, reach, kneel, and lift up to 100 pounds.
• Utilize verbal and auditory communication frequently.
• Perform near and far vision acuity, depth perception, accommodation, field of vision, and feeling tasks frequently.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Manual dexterity and ability to work under pressure.
• Previous institutional custodian experience and basic knowledge of custodial equipment and supplies.
• Ability to interact positively with students, staff, and public.
• Valid WI driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are strongly preferred.
