We are seeking a Fence Installation Supervisor who is interested in establishing a long-term career in the fencing industry. Compensation ranges from $26.00 to $33.00 per hour, based on experience. This role involves overseeing the installation of permanent fencing, managing a crew, and addressing customer inquiries effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are prepared and loaded before heading to the job site.
  • Make informed decisions regarding the installation process, including the placement of terminations based on property boundaries.
  • Engage with clients to discuss their fencing requirements and clarify specifications as needed.
  • Prepare the installation site by clearing away any obstacles such as rocks or vegetation, ensuring compliance with contract specifications.
  • Measure and outline fence lines, marking posthole locations according to provided plans or specifications.
  • Align and verify the vertical positioning of posts using appropriate tools.
  • Identify and adhere to safety protocols regarding underground utilities before commencing any digging.
  • Utilize various tools for digging postholes and setting posts securely.
  • Mix and pour concrete or tamp soil to secure posts in place.
  • Assemble and install custom ornamental iron fences and gates as per customer specifications.
  • Ensure proper installation of fencing materials, including wire and chain link, and secure them appropriately.
  • Oversee the assembly and installation of gates, ensuring they are positioned correctly.
  • Manage the completion of top rails for metal fences and ensure proper assembly of custom orders on-site.
  • Adjust installation specifications based on customer feedback or environmental constraints.
  • Install privacy slats or panels as required by project specifications.
  • Verify that installation meets all specifications set forth by the crew and/or subcontractors.
  • Handle administrative tasks, including collecting signatures for completed work and managing employee time sheets.
  • Coordinate the removal and disposal of old fencing materials as necessary.
  • Operate company vehicles in compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Complete gate tags with specifications for fabrication.
  • Utilize equipment such as forklifts and lifts for loading, unloading, and installation tasks.
  • Conduct safety inspections of all tools and equipment prior to use.
  • Adhere to company and regulatory safety guidelines.

Required Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in English communication
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs

Experience Needed:

  • Minimum of 2 years in heavy construction
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or foreman role
  • Previous experience in fencing is preferred

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required. Background checks and drug screenings will be conducted.
