Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team at Saxco International. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor trailer and manually unloading products to customers while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and review driver itinerary, checking route and account numbers for assigned deliveries, counting items and checking customer invoices of products that have been loaded.
  • Drive to and deliver customer orders to meet the scheduled customer times and maintain adequate productivity rate to meet delivery schedules.
  • Unload products from the trailer with a hand truck or by pallet jack.
  • Verify delivery of correct items with customer and obtain proper signatures.
  • Perform all post-trip responsibilities, including unloading damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary paperwork, and performing safety checks on the truck and trailer.
  • Attend all required company meetings and adhere to all safety practices and company policies.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations.
  • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Must have a valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with the necessary endorsements and be DOT qualified.
  • Minimum two years commercial driving (CDL class A) experience.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to work in extreme weather conditions, including applying tire chains if needed. Must be able to perform all job functions safely and adhere to all safety practices and company policies.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this job include standing, walking, driving, sitting, lifting and carrying, pushing and pulling, climbing and balancing, stooping and squatting, bending, reaching above shoulder, grasping objects, and manipulating objects.
