Key Responsibilities
  1. Lesson Planning and Instruction: Develop and deliver engaging swimming lessons that cater to the needs of our members, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  2. Member Engagement and Support: Build strong relationships with students and parents, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their swimming goals.
  3. Program Promotion and Communication: Promote our aquatics programs and services to members, while maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with parents and staff.
  4. Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Ensure the proper maintenance and organization of swimming equipment, while adhering to YMCA safety policies and procedures.
  5. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge as a Swim Instructor.
Requirements
  1. Age and Experience: Minimum age of 15 and a minimum of 2 years swimming experience.
  2. Certifications: American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications within 15 days of hire.
  3. Training and Qualifications: Completion of required trainings and certifications.
Physical Demands
  1. Physical Ability: Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques, lift equipment, and assist members as needed.
  2. Sensory Requirements: Ability to see, hear, direct, and assist members, guests, and staff to ensure safety.
