Position Overview
Role Summary:
The Clinical Nurse Specialist is accountable for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients through systematic assessment, strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. This role involves delegating care responsibilities to other nursing staff based on their qualifications and job roles.
Contributes to achieving the mission and objectives of the organization while adhering to the standards set by relevant regulatory bodies.
This position is pivotal in care coordination, patient education, and supporting patients in their decision-making processes.Acts as a primary liaison for referring healthcare providers, patients, and their families, facilitating access to clinical and community support services.
Engages in multidisciplinary meetings and committees, collaborating with the healthcare team to create tailored care plans for each patient. Works alongside other service providers and community partners to enhance patient education and outreach initiatives.Experience Requirements:
A minimum of 2 years in a related nursing role.
Educational Background:
No specific educational qualifications required.
Licensure and Certification Requirements:
Mandatory Certifications:
- Valid nursing license in the state of practice
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification to be obtained within one month
Oncology Department Specifics:
- Oncology Certification Nurse (OCN) to be achieved within two years of employment
Work Environment:
Daytime shifts with a rotation schedule.
Work Hours:
80 hours per pay period.
Compensation:
