Medical Technologist PRN Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida Pasadena Hospital. As a Medical Technologist PRN, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory testing, ensuring the highest quality patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform a wide range of laboratory tests, including blood bank, serology, chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.
- Assume responsibility for the department in the absence of the supervisor, ensuring seamless operations and patient care.
- Complete all required records and documentation, including patient results and quality control procedures.
- Perform stat procedures within established turnaround time targets, prioritizing patient needs.
- Correlate and interpret patient results, using good judgment and independent thinking.
- Review pending logs and result logs, resolving any outstanding workload or communicating with staff relief.
- Perform quality control procedures per protocol and handle problem and/or critical laboratory specimens/test results.
- A 2 Year/Associate Degree in Medical Technology is required; a 4 Year/Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist is preferred.
- A State of Florida Technologist License is required; the ability to obtain a license during the interview process is also acceptable.
- Technologist License in one or more clinical specialty areas, including Generalist, Blood bank, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, is required.
