Job Title: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Waynesville Inn & Golf, Tapestry by Hilton. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's maintenance and repair functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct daily property tours to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Respond to guest room maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain and repair carpets, wall coverings, furniture, and appliances.
  • Change burned-out light bulbs and make other cosmetic repairs as assigned.
  • Complete interior and exterior detailed cleaning assignments as needed.
  • Report any unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Participate in all inspections of life-safety systems, including extinguishers and smoke alarms.
  • Follow the Preventative Maintenance program.
Requirements:
  • Two years of progressive experience in hotels or related fields.
  • Two years working in construction or general maintenance.
  • Experience using construction-related tools and equipment.
  • Current certifications as required by Federal, State, or Local governing agents pertaining to trade requirements (HVAC, Pool Operation, etc).
  • Door lock system experience.
  • Laundry room, kitchen equipment, and overall hotel equipment repair experience.
  • Experience using Quore or other Hotel Maintenance-related applications.
  • Experience with brand standards.
Working Conditions:

Frequent sitting, standing, and moving about the facilities. Handling objects, products, and equipment. Using keyboards and other office computer equipment. Occasionally push, pull, and lift items weighing up to 50 pounds. Must communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must observe details at close range.

Must speak English fluently. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Mathematical skills include basic math. Problem-solving, reasoning, organizational abilities are often used. Ability to effectively multitask.
