Staff Nurse II

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse II to join our team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, education, and support to patients and their families in an acute patient setting.
Responsibilities- Assess, coordinate, and deliver high-quality nursing care to patients, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through effective communication.
- Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- RN-Registered Nurse of California.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider.
- NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider preferred.
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- NIHSS-National Institute of Health Stroke Scale.
2 years of recent relevant experience.
Department Required Experience2 years RN with at least six months of prior experience in PACU, ED, or ICU in a multiple specialty acute care facility within the last two years.
Skills and Knowledge- Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts, and practices.
- Medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
- Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
- Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize patient care, assignments, and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices.
Staff Nurse II must float between ICU & TICU units at Davies campus.
Job Details- Job Shift: Nights.
- Schedule: Full Time.
- Shift Hours: 12.
- Days of the Week: Variable.
- Weekend Requirements: Every other Weekend.
- Benefits: Yes.

- Weekly Hours: 36.

This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.

Pay Range is $85.69 to $113.62 / hour.
The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
