General Summary/Responsibilities:

The Licensed Practical Nurse administers patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

As a member of the nursing team, this individual collaborates to accomplish patient care activities and contributes to the implementation of patient care.

This LPN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.

The LPN provides physical, emotional, and spiritual support that directly or indirectly impacts patient outcomes and care provided to patients, families, and significant others.


**Education Requirements:

A minimum level of education required is a Diploma Program in Practical Nursing.

Additional requirements include:

  • Area of study or major: Practical Nursing
  • Valid Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
  • Certified to administer medications
  • PREFERRED: IV Certification


**Experience Requirements:

No prior job-related work experience is required.


**Estimated Salary Range:** $55,000 - $65,000 per year
