About the Role
Centerpoint Medical Center is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our diagnostic imaging team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures using computerized tomography (CT) scans. Your primary goal will be to provide high-quality images for physicians to diagnose and treat patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and position patients on the CT table for imaging procedures.
- Start IVs for contrast injection and perform other necessary tasks to ensure accurate imaging results.
- Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal results.
- Release patients with proper post-procedure instructions and ensure a smooth transition to the next step in their care.
- Turn over and prepare rooms using aseptic technique between patients and maintain clean and sterile equipment.
- Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.
- Registered Computerized Tomography Technician (CT) certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
- Two years of experience preferred with additional training in CT scanning.
- On-call requirements and ability to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back.
