About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Pharmacist to join our team at Cardinal Health. As a Lead Pharmacist, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations of our remote pharmacy services, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remote Order Entry and CPOE Order Evaluation: You will be responsible for reviewing and verifying orders for accuracy and completeness, ensuring that patients receive the correct medications and dosages.
  • Staff Management and Development: You will oversee a team of pharmacists and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting the highest standards of patient care.
  • Clinical Leadership: You will be responsible for leading clinical initiatives and projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve patient outcomes and reduce costs.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: You will ensure that all clinical operations are in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License: You must have an active pharmacy license in the state of residence and be willing to obtain licenses in other states as required.
  • Experience and Skills: You must have 2-4 years of clinical hospital inpatient experience and possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Computer Proficiency: You must be proficient in using multiple pharmacy information systems and have the ability to learn new systems quickly.
