Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse RN Float Pool to join our team at LewisGale Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Display strong clinical judgment and expert nursing skills while following company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care and develop effective plans of care.
  • Document patient information accurately and timely, using standardized nursing terminology.
  • Provide comfort and prevent suffering through presence and attentiveness, including pain assessment and reassessment.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program is required.
  • BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing is preferred.
  • Current licensure as an RN in the state of Virginia or current multi-state compact RN license with eligibility to practice in VA is required.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
