Traveling CT Scan Technologist

As a Travel Registered Cat Scan Technologist, you will perform CT scans and assist radiologists during invasive procedures for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist radiologists during all aspects of invasive procedures and perform CT scan examinations as directed.
- Properly identify patients and exams, and perform CT scan services with maximum care and attention to technical quality.
- Communicate clinical observations during CT scan examinations to radiologists, presenting clinical history as recorded on documentation.
- Demonstrate competency in RIS/HIS modules relevant to job responsibilities.
- Inject contrast for CT scans in accordance with department policy, completing patient CT questionnaires and reviewing prior to exams.
- Perform 3-D imaging functions and provide educational information to patients regarding their examinations.
- Maintain responsibility for professional development through in-services and continuing education programs.
- Accurately adhere to downtime procedures to ensure continuity of care for patients.
Physical and Sensory Requirements:
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate equipment and chart information.
- Sitting for up to 5 hours in 30-minute increments, standing and walking for up to 3 hours in 15-minute increments.
- Pushing, pulling, and lifting patients up to 400 pounds with assistance, occasional stooping, lifting, and raising arms above shoulder level.
- Lifting and moving objects up to 40 pounds, hearing as it relates to normal conversation, and seeing as it relates to normal vision.
Education and Training:
- Graduate from an ARRT recognized education program or ARRT registered.
- NJ staff must have current New Jersey State Radiological Technologist License and be registered before hire.
- Two years of staff technologist experience, advanced CT registry required upon hire, and current BLS certification.
