Quality Control Specialist

Pure Flavor Farms is a leading greenhouse vegetable grower committed to delivering high-quality produce to communities across North America. We're seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our team.
Job Summary:The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring the quality of all vegetables received, in inventory, and shipped from our facility. This includes conducting visual inspections, completing quality reports, and ensuring all products meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct visual inspections of incoming vegetable loads
- Complete quality inspection reports for each load
- Assess and categorize inventory based on quality and condition
- Place and release quarantine or on-hold product
- Conduct outgoing quality checks and review checks conducted by shippers
- Secondary school education or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Vegetable Inspector or Quality Inspector in produce or related industry
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, and Food Safety
- Basic understanding of Fresh Fruit & Vegetable regulations, Consumer Packaging & Labeling requirements, and standards
- Computer skills essential
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail and task-related accuracy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
This role operates within a refrigerated warehouse with varying temperatures. The noise level can be loud due to packaging machinery and forklift truck operation. The employee frequently stands, walks, bends, twists, and uses hands to handle or feel product or packaging.
