Key Responsibilities- Engage in entry-level professional activities, including developmental tasks that apply standard methodologies, procedures, and criteria while executing routine engineering assignments under close supervision.
- Conduct initial engineering assessments and analyses to pinpoint design enhancement options, evaluate alternatives, and support design recommendations pertinent to transportation.
- Assist in analyzing reports, maps, drawings, and aerial imagery, conduct site evaluations, and review survey information to prepare and compile construction documentation.
- Contribute to the preparation of plans for segments of standard projects under the guidance of a project engineer or senior CADD technician.
- Support the development of quantity estimates.
- Create layouts for construction, topographic, and boundary surveys.
- Ensure project quality for assigned tasks in accordance with established Quality Assurance / Quality Control protocols.
- Familiarity with transportation concepts.
- Understanding of surveying principles and basic engineering terminology.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- EIT Certification or successful completion of the FE Exam within six months of employment commencement.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in the field or a closely related area.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
