As a key member of the Eversource Energy team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of electric power to our customers. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and direct a team of engineers in the planning and design of transmission and distribution systems.
- Develop and implement medium- and long-range distribution plans to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our systems.
- Lead and conduct forecast studies to determine loads used in distribution planning activities.
- Identify and resolve distribution system problems involving multiple feeders and substations.
- Prepare contingency studies for distribution networks, including N-1 and N-2 analysis.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and implementation of distribution planning activities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the technical, operational, or engineering aspects of the electrical utility industry.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical theory, distribution line design, substation design, and operating practices.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including formal presentation.
- Ability to develop strategic partnerships and work effectively in a team environment.
