Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Associated Clinic of Psychology. As a Community-Based Therapist, you will work with clients in their homes and communities, providing essential mental health services to young children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments using the DC:0-5 outcome measurements to identify the needs of young children and their families.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on the diagnosis, working closely with families to ensure their involvement and commitment to the therapeutic process.
  • Provide family therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote healthy relationships and coping mechanisms.
  • Foster strong collaborations with other professionals, including healthcare providers, educators, and social workers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting young children and their families.
Requirements
  • A Master's or graduate degree in a behavioral science or related field from an accredited institution, with a strong focus on early childhood mental health.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • A strong passion for working with young children and their families, with a commitment to promoting healthy development and well-being.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on collaboration and mutual respect.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with young children (ages 0-5) and their caregivers, with a strong understanding of early childhood development and mental health.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions for early childhood mental health, including trauma-informed care and neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on adaptability and flexibility.
