About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Pump Repair Mechanic II to join our team in San Antonio, TX. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing Xylem equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pump end issues.
  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and servicing on Xylem equipment.
  • Diagnose and report any damage to the Service Manager.
  • Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
  • Assist customers and Xylem personnel with setting up pumping systems on job sites.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by following EHS&S guidelines, policies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Two to three years of experience in pump repair and maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose common mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Experience with diesel engine repairs.
  • Basic knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment.
Work Environment

The work environment is a shop environment with intermittent exposure to outdoor weather conditions, shop noise, and fumes. Extended hours may be required, including weekends, overtime, and on-call rotations.
