Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing Comprehensive Care: Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, medication management, and follow-up care under the supervision of psychiatrists.
  • Clinical Decision Making: Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient clinical problems and healthcare needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in credentialing processes with managed care companies by providing necessary personal information, engage in patient case conferences, and departmental/agency meetings as directed.
  • Patient Experience: Demonstrate courteous and helpful behavior, ensuring accuracy and commitment to delivering exceptional care.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Complete patient medical record documentation according to company policies and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration: Share accountability for overall patient health outcomes by working in coordination with Care Teams.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in nursing or Bachelor's degree and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program are required.
  • A valid CA Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nursing license or a Valid CA Physician Assistant license are mandatory.
  • For Nurse Practitioners, Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification is necessary.
  • For Physician Assistants, Psychiatric Certified Added Qualifications (CAQ) are preferred.
  • A valid DEA license and BLS certification from an approved American Health Association provider are also required.
  • Completion of advanced pharmacology courses with class II controlled substances is essential.

The estimated salary range for this position is $143,438-$172,643 annually, depending on experience.
