Environmental and Energy Underwriter

Key Responsibilities:- Underwrite new business and renewals in a profitable manner, adhering to established guidelines and authority levels.
- Participate in special projects that impact the business, leveraging your expertise to drive results.
- Utilize underwriting tools to determine accurate classifications, rates, and premium charges.
- Stay up-to-date on state laws, including cancellation and non-renewal, to ensure compliance within assigned territories.
- Collaborate with agents and brokers to resolve premium audit disputes and provide coaching to others.
- Minimum 4-5+ years of current environmental and energy underwriting experience for GL, Contractor's Pollution, Site Pollution, Professional, supported and unsupported excess products.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of progression of positions of increasing responsibility.
- Demonstrated marketing and relationship building skills.
- Four-year college degree preferred.
- Technologically fluent, with proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a flexible and spontaneous business environment, with up to 25% travel.
