Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in West Allis, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in our Respiratory Therapy department. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing education to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
  • Provide education and support to patients and families on respiratory health and disease management
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and interpret results
  • Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
Requirements:
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license issued by the state in which the team member practices
  • Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Graduate from an accredited respiratory care program with a minimum of an associate degree
