Walden Security is seeking a skilled Court Security Officer to provide armed security services to courthouses under the USMS contract. Key Responsibilities: Entrance Control: Operate security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items. Roving Patrol: Patrol court facilities and grounds, adhering to post orders. Stationary Post Assignments: Monitor security equipment, courtrooms, and judge chambers. Escort Duties: Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, and jurors. Garage Parking and Pedestrian Control: Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties. Law Enforcement: Enforce federal law, detaining unauthorized individuals and responding to security incidents. Reporting and Record-Keeping: Prepare reports on contract performance issues, labor hours worked, and security incidents. Court Attendance: Secure unattended courtrooms, inspect courtrooms, and test security devices. Preserving Order: Provide security presence in the courtroom, enforcing federal law and judicial orders. Requirements: Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED, and at least three years of experience as a certified law enforcement officer or military equivalent. Language Skills: Proficient in English, with the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the language. Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and clearance from the Department of Justice. Other Qualifications: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, and meet medical standards as specified by the USMS.
