We are seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to join our Optical Inter-Satellite Link team at Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying software systems to control and monitor high-speed optical communications.
Key Responsibilities- Develop highly reliable flight software for RTOS and/or bare-metal environments
- Design and develop supporting test, validation, and simulation software infrastructure
- Participate in the full life-cycle of software development, from requirements definition and design to deployment and maintenance in orbit
- Collaborate with software, hardware, and systems engineers to support design, build, integration, test, and deployment of high-speed optical communication systems
You will work with a multi-disciplinary team of top-notch engineers and collaborate closely with the optical, electrical, firmware, and opto-mechanical development teams. We are looking for an outstanding software engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively.
Requirements- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices
- Experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
