Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Coordinate Nursing Staff: Oversee the nursing unit, ensuring the effective use of personnel, supplies, equipment, and facilities.
- Review and Analyze Patient Care: Conduct initial assessments for newly admitted or readmitted patients, and manage and analyze patient care to ensure the highest level of care.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each resident.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Safely administer medications, IV therapy, gastronomy tube management, and wound care as needed.
- Monitor and Communicate Resident Changes: Continuously monitor residents and communicate changes to physicians to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Ensure Accurate Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records to ensure safe, efficient, and therapeutic care for residents.
- Troubleshoot and Investigate Complaints: Identify and resolve issues promptly, taking necessary action to address resident concerns.
- Current RN or LVN License: In good standing, with a valid Texas license.
- Experience: At least one year of experience as a nurse, preferably in a long-term care facility.
- Effective Communication and Supervisory Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members, as well as supervise and develop nursing staff.
- Exceptional Training and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to provide hands-on training to nursing staff and think critically to resolve complex issues.
- Case Management and Client Relations: Comfortable with client relations and able to manage cases effectively.
