Plant Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Operator to join our team at the Grayling Generating Station in Grayling, Michigan. As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of industrial machinery and equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the plant.

• Operate assigned control systems to ensure proper operations, performing routine equipment maintenance, safety checks, inspections, and adjustments as required.
• Monitor and control systems to ensure safe and efficient operation, identifying and reporting problems to Lead Plant Operator and/or Supervisor.
• Assist in maintaining the boiler system by adjusting chemical feed and monitoring boiler, cooling water, and waste water chemistry, implementing corrective actions within established procedures.
• Perform maintenance activities during plant outages and minor maintenance on shift as required, operating mobile equipment to maintain efficient operations.
• Maintain a safe work environment through job planning, housekeeping, and adherence to plant safety rules and procedures, identifying and correcting hazards.

• High School Diploma or equivalent with two (2) or more years of applicable experience.
• 2+ years power plant operations experience, previous control room experience, and/or equivalent experience required.
• Ability to work overtime, rotating shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.
