Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aircraft Window Technician to join our team at Total Aerospace Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional aircraft window services to our clients, while expanding our customer base and sales within your designated regional market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and assess aircraft windows for damage or defects
  • Repair scratches, pits, and other window damage
  • Remove and install replacement windshields and windows
  • Provide on-call 24/7 emergency AOG services to customers
  • Utilize orbital sanders and various grits of sandpaper to restore damaged areas
  • Review and interpret technical data relevant to your tasks
  • Manage the acquisition of purchase orders from customers
  • Coordinate service schedules with aircraft owners/operators and maintenance managers
  • Complete and submit billing information and evaluation forms to our headquarters
  • Provide airworthiness documents to customers upon job completion
  • Travel to customer locations as required
  • Compile weekly expense reports detailing costs for gasoline, entertainment, and customer relations
  • Sign off on all work orders and maintain part traceability records
  • Conduct daily visits and/or phone communication with current and potential customers
  • Develop and expand sales in the assigned regional market
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED)
  • Preferred sales experience, 1 year of orbital sanding experience, auto body experience, previous aircraft experience, A&P license or AMT certificate, sales experience
  • Proficiency in using various measuring devices, strong mechanical aptitude, ability to read and interpret blueprints, ability to read and interpret technical manuals
  • Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and technical manuals, apply them to practical field situations, work independently, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, deliver exceptional customer service in a timely manner
Essential Job Functions/Physical Demands
  • Standing on wings, moving in and out of cockpits, working inside and outside aircraft
  • Ability to stand and/or sit for 8 hours a day
  • Ability to lift/carry weights of up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to twist, bend, and stoop for 8 hours a day
  • Ability to pinch and grip various tools with fingers and hands, using pushing and pulling motions for 8 hours a day
  • Ability to reach for 8 hours a day
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in understanding and following work orders and process specifications
  • Capability to handle buffing and polishing tools for 8 hours a day
  • Comfort with climbing up and down ladders
