Executive Director Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Executive Director to lead our Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Bethesda, Maryland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment that fosters the well-being of our residents and supports the growth and development of our staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement community-specific business goals and objectives in alignment with our company's overall direction.
  • Establish and communicate policies, procedures, and regulations affecting all community activities and personnel.
  • Counsel, monitor, and direct department heads to ensure proper implementation of policies and objectives.
  • Manage community finances, including budgeting, accounting, and expense control.
  • Formulate and implement sound personnel policies and practices, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with healthcare agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure the safety and security of residents and staff, and protect community assets.
  • Prepare and present regular business and financial reports to our leadership team and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in high-end independent living and assisted living communities.
  • Experience with high-acuity, memory care residents and programming required.
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members, and create a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of Maryland state regulations and assisted living residence requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
