Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out duties as directed by Security Management and the Security Officer Lead, including managing access to the facility through the Visitor Management System, addressing inquiries and concerns at security posts, and executing all assigned post orders.
  • Assist with special events, urgent activities, and additional tasks as designated by Security Management.
  • Understand and adhere to Blue Origin's badging policies to accurately categorize and issue visitor badges as necessary.
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations, including fire, medical emergencies, and suspicious activities.
  • Conduct regular patrols as assigned.
  • Be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including nights, overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession or eligibility for a valid state security officer license.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability and willingness to stand in a static position for extended periods.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including extreme weather.
  • Occasional climbing of stairs, ramps, or ladders during shifts.
  • Ability to stand or walk on diverse surfaces for prolonged periods.
  • Capability to build trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and enhance our culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree.
  • Over two years of experience in military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or corporate security.
  • Skills in handling critical incidents.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Extensive experience working in team-oriented environments.
  • High standards of character and integrity.
  • Ability to de-escalate conflicts and disputes.
