**Job Summary**

Silgan is seeking a skilled Precision Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining complex machinery, ensuring high-quality production and efficient workflow.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Work from blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to produce precision parts and tools.
  • Operate precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, scales, and calipers, to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Use Machinist's hand tools, such as scrapers, chisels, and files, to obtain proper fits and finishes.
  • Overhaul and repair machinery, recommending and making necessary repairs, and assembling parts as required.
  • Perform bench work, including filing, peening, fitting, and polishing.

**Requirements:**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical degree, Journeyman status, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Above-average analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Previous experience with standard bolts, screws, threads, and tapers.

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Ability to safely lift up to 100 pounds.
