Job Overview:

The Network Processing VIP Test Engineering team at Visa is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer responsible for software development, testing, support, and monitoring.

The VIP Token team focuses on a suite of applications designed to handle authorization transactions traversing the Visa network.

These applications are built for high availability, exceptional performance, and reliability.

System components utilize industry-standard programming languages on TPF systems, leveraging JSON, SOAP, and XML APIs.

In-memory caching technologies are implemented to achieve low-latency for near-real-time data processing requirements.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with team members and cross-functional teams to ensure the VIP applications are supported around the clock.


Key Responsibilities:


• Develop and design comprehensive test plans and functional test cases derived from business requirements and conceptual documents, emphasizing coverage, performance, and automation.

• Collaborate with Development, Product, and System Architecture teams to analyze, debug, and resolve design and coding issues.

• Work alongside a team of Engineers for the development and maintenance of Network Processing VIP Applications.

• Provide 24/7 support for all NP VIP suite applications in the production environment, working with cross-functional teams to minimize service disruptions.

• Diagnose and resolve production issues to meet all service level agreements (SLAs).

• Design and implement test automation frameworks and solutions.

• Create and enhance test data mining and data generation tools and applications.

• Maintain and improve existing automation test tools based on Java, C++, .NET, and Python, as necessary.

• Investigate bugs using various tools and logs.

• Support production deployment activities and global business enhancement releases.

• Establish and uphold a structured testing methodology, particularly regarding automation.

• Champion security by collaborating with cybersecurity teams to ensure all vulnerabilities are addressed within required timelines.

• Respond to inquiries from users and technical support concerning software functionalities and operations.

• Identify process improvements, error trends, and root causes, providing recommendations for remedies to colleagues and management.

• Assist cross-functional teams in integrated testing efforts.

• Support emergency testing activities for code patches addressing production issues.

• Report project status and issues to Project Managers and Management.

• Implement standardized processes, tools, and metrics to deliver large-scale projects from inception to completion, meeting quantifiable business objectives.

• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.

• Participate in defining and communicating best practices.

This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing employees to alternate between remote and office work. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office a set number of days each week, as determined by leadership, with a general expectation of being in the office approximately 50% of the time based on business needs.
