Job Summary

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Froedtert South, you will operate scanning and auxiliary equipment to perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures. You will prepare and administer oral and intravenous radiopharmaceuticals, and troubleshoot equipment as needed. This role requires a strong understanding of clerical procedures and the ability to schedule appointments, provide patient instructions, and answer inquiries clearly.

Key Responsibilities

Operate all nuclear medicine equipment, including cameras and computer systems

Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, including oral and intravenous medications

Troubleshoot equipment and perform quality control checks on nuclear medicine films

Schedule appointments, provide patient instructions, and answer inquiries clearly

Administer medications in a timely manner, safely, and in accordance with policy and procedure

Requirements

Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology preferred

6 months - 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine

Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) certification or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine (A.R.R.T.- N.M.) certification required

Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire
