Position Overview:
In collaboration with healthcare providers, the Healthcare Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering a range of patient care services while meeting the performance standards of Trinity Health.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review patient records for thoroughness and history.
  • Set up examination and procedure areas along with necessary equipment for patient care.
  • Welcome and identify patients, preparing them for examinations while ensuring their privacy is maintained.
  • Document and assess current medications and allergies.
  • Measure vital signs, gather chief complaints, and document patient history.
  • Assist healthcare providers with routine procedures and deliver patient care as instructed (including immunizations, spirometry, injections, EKGs, nebulizer treatments, ear irrigation, and wart removal).
  • Support providers in patient care through various communication methods including phone, mail, and fax.
  • Facilitate effective communication between healthcare providers and patients.
Work Schedule:

1.0 FTE (72 hours biweekly)

Essential Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Medical Assistant Diploma or valid LPN/RN license.
  • Preferred: 6 months of experience in a clinical environment.
  • Proficient in language, mathematics, and reasoning; basic computer skills; ability to engage with diverse populations; effective interaction with healthcare professionals and the public; ability to present a positive image; strong organizational and prioritization skills.
