Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Custodian to join our team at Plainfield Community Consolidated School. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including classrooms, hallways, and common areas
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment and fixtures
  • Operate and maintain various cleaning equipment and machinery
  • Assist with special events and projects as needed
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid Illinois Driver's License
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
