Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Denial Representative to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a Denial Representative, you will play a critical role in maintaining assigned work queues and resolving, trending, and escalating issues to your leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain assigned work queues and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Identify systemic issues and errors, and communicate trends to leadership
  • Document accounts effectively to prevent and resolve denials
  • Work with the Seamless Access Work Queue and Denials team to identify process improvements
  • Assist with training and mentoring of registration staff
  • Review denials and take steps for resolution, including researching, drafting, and submitting appeals to payers
  • Provide customer service to internal customers in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of payer requirements and the registration process
Requirements
  • 4+ years of progressive work experience in various positions within healthcare in the Patient Access and/or Patient Accounting Departments
  • Exceptional knowledge of medical terminology, insurance guidelines, and requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers
