Catering Operations Coordinator

The Catering Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards while overseeing catering functions. This role involves organizing and executing catering events, as well as supervising assigned staff during these functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory agency standards.
- Organize and manage catering events as per requests.
- Supervise catering staff during events.
- Handle administrative tasks including processing delivery invoices and preparing event cost estimates.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- Preferred knowledge of catering and table service.
- Ability to supervise catering personnel effectively.
- Flexibility to work various catering events as needed.
- One year of supervisory experience in food service within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in business software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher is preferred.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, with occasional weekends based on catering requirements.
Physical Requirements
- Must have full range of motion and the ability to stand, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to endure varying temperatures while working in refrigerated or freezer areas.
Performance Standards
Performance will be evaluated based on customer feedback, documentation, and observation. Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring email requests for catering services.
- Accurately completing catering event sheets for posting.
- Calculating catering costs for monthly reporting.
- Planning and organizing all catering events according to established standards.
- Managing leftover food efficiently.
- Ensuring timely completion of all tasks related to food preparation and event execution.
- Coordinating food delivery to event locations punctually.
- Verifying event setups to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Documenting necessary paperwork.
- Ordering supplies accurately and in a timely manner.
- Adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
- Being available to work various shifts and weekends as required.
- Processing delivery invoices promptly for accounting.
- Maintaining records related to food production and supply data entry.
- Performing duties of Food Service Workers 1 & 2 as needed.
- Completing additional assigned tasks.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Executive Chef.
