Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Core Staffing is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician for a travel assignment in Detroit, Michigan.

Job Summary:

Under the supervision of a laboratory technologist, leader, and/or supervisor, and according to defined protocols, performs select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems. May perform phlebotomy as needed.

Requirements:
  • Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions.
  • Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA) required.
Work Schedule:

8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, with a 1-week contract. The position focuses on clerical and customer service, with a preference for candidates with experience with SunQuest and Epic.

Pay Package:

Based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
