Job Summary

MetaSense Inc is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing select procedures on blood and/or other body fluids or specimens, involving manual techniques or the use of laboratory instruments and information systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory procedures under direct supervision, adhering to defined protocols.
  • May perform phlebotomy as needed.
  • Collaborate with laboratory technologists, leaders, and supervisors to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an Associate Degree Program in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency and theoretical knowledge sufficient to perform laboratory functions.
  • Certification from a recognized national certifying agency (ASCP or NCA).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SunQuest and Epic.

Work Environment:

This position focuses on clerical and customer service, with a strong emphasis on critical value calling and communication with patients and healthcare professionals.
