Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Clinician to join our team at Wheeler Clinic. As a Bilingual Clinician, you will work with children and teens in foster care, providing family therapy and support to foster families and biological families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide family therapy and support to foster families and biological families
  • Triage clinical emergencies and implement program-specific safety and consultation protocols
  • Communicate effectively with children, foster families, biological families, and internal and external providers
  • Attend internal and external meetings with foster care staff, providers, foster parents, and children
  • Provide support and direction to foster families to assist them in caring for children placed in their homes
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or related field
  • At least 1 year of experience working with behavioral health service delivery to children, adolescents, and families
  • Experience working with the foster care population is preferred
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish
  • Must hold one of the following credentials: LMSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPC, or licensed or license-eligible Psychologist in the State of Connecticut
