We are seeking a skilled LPN to join our team on the 3 Medical Inpatient Unit at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, IA. As an LPN on this unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse range of medical patients, including those with respiratory illnesses, renal failure, altered mental status, and GI issues.
Responsibilities- Provide safe and reliable patient-centered care with support and supervision of an RN.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to achieve patient care outcomes and goals.
- Manage patient care with ongoing assessments and vitals, administering medications as ordered by the provider.
- Provide evidenced-based patient education starting at admission, documenting daily progress toward care plan goals.
- Complete bedside procedures, such as foley, NG, dressing changes, drains, etc.
- Provide discharge education and review instructions with patient and/or caregivers.
- Completed an accredited LPN program.
- Previous CNA/PCT experience preferred.
- Possess current LPN licensure in the State of Iowa or compact state.
- Writes, reads, speaks, and comprehends fluent English.
