Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Sherman Associates. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and repair of our properties, providing excellent service to our residents, and contributing to a safe and comfortable living environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry work.
  • Respond to resident requests and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in scheduling and completing preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair complex problems, and perform hands-on work on a wide range of facilities responsibilities.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve maintenance goals and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of maintenance activities and repairs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
  • 1-4 years of experience in maintenance or related carpentry/construction, ideally in residential or commercial real estate.
  • Special boilers license or willingness to obtain one, if applicable.
  • Ability to lift and move items over 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively with residents, vendors, and other stakeholders.
