This role is a full-time opportunity, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Compensation is competitive, ranging from $16 to $18 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Preschool Educator will be responsible for creating engaging developmental activities, executing a curriculum that prepares children for their educational journey, and enhancing their foundational skills in reading, mathematics, language, and social interaction. As a VPK Instructor, you will act as a mentor and role model, cultivating a vibrant learning atmosphere while supporting the development and achievements of your students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement educational programs with age-appropriate activities aligned with learning standards
  • Serve as a role model and provide mentorship to fellow educators
  • Organize and facilitate group and individual activities to encourage social, cognitive, and emotional development
  • Engage in continuous professional growth to improve the quality of care
  • Ensure adherence to center policies and state regulations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required
  • FL DCF 45 hours, VPK endorsement, and CDA certifications are necessary
  • At least 1-2 years of professional experience in early childhood education
  • Successful completion of a full level II DCF background check
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of child development to foster an engaging classroom environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues
