Job Overview

Position: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking skilled individuals with 5-10 years of mechanical maintenance expertise in a manufacturing setting. Candidates should possess familiarity with essential hand tools and precision instruments. Proficiency in pneumatics and hydraulics is mandatory, while some electrical knowledge is advantageous. Experience with Industrial Waste Water Treatment systems is a plus. We are looking for a versatile professional who can operate independently in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be tasked with ensuring all machinery operates efficiently and that the preventative maintenance schedule adheres to established company standards and protocols.

Your responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining the operational integrity of all mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, and carpentry systems within the department.
2. Following and completing the preventative maintenance schedule.
3. Performing metal fabrication, welding, and cutting with a torch as needed.
4. Conducting minor electrical repairs.
5. Upholding a clean and organized work environment.
6. Executing additional duties as assigned by management.

Supervision:
This role requires minimal supervision. Any issues or concerns should be communicated to the Maintenance Department Manager.

Accountability:
You will be accountable to the Maintenance Department Manager for the quality and promptness of your work.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 5-10 years of mechanical experience in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds, with lifting occurring between 0 to 5 feet.
- Ability to carry up to 20 pounds for distances up to 100 feet.
- Ability to push/pull a maximum of 20 pounds over distances of 5 to 10 feet.
- Frequent reaching out and up required, with a weight of up to 5 pounds.
- Occasional climbing of ladders or platforms, working at heights up to 35 feet.
- Predominantly standing position with frequent stooping, bending, and kneeling.
- Maximum continuous walking/standing required is 3 hours.

Equipment Operation:
This position necessitates the operation of equipment including boom lifts, squeeze lifts, and forklifts.
