Job Summary

Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare is a 230-bed skilled nursing facility dedicated to providing high-quality care to our residents. We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team and provide exceptional care to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide routine daily nursing care to residents in accordance with procedures and document resident care appropriately.
  • Create and maintain a calm atmosphere throughout the unit/shift.
  • Prepare residents for meals, serve trays, and assist with feeding as indicated.
  • Check residents routinely to assure that their personal care/hygiene needs are being met, including giving/assisting residents with bath functions.
  • Assist with transportation, lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transferring residents into/out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchair, lifts, etc.
  • Answer resident calls promptly and report all changes in resident's condition promptly.
Requirements
  • Holds CNA Certification in New York State that is current and in good standing.
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, quality, and compassionate care as a CNA to each resident.
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, and sometimes challenging residents.
  • Patience, a cheerful disposition, and willingness to assist any residents and co-workers.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills.
  • Trusted to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to work well under pressure, flexible, and will work harmoniously with all staff.
